Join our team as a Lead Camp Counselor and play a key role in ensuring that every child has an amazing camp experience! In this role, you will coordinate daily tasks and enforce camp rules to create a fun and engaging environment for kids of all ages. As the Lead Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for coordinating snack times and locations, checking children in and out while ensuring proper ID checks, and managing the setup and cleanup of camp areas. You will also be responsible for verifying all logbooks daily, including incident reports, first aid records, behavior logs, and child attendance logs. Your ability to enforce the daily camp schedule and entertain and engage children of all ages will be key to ensuring that every child has a fantastic time at camp. We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
You must also have or be willing to obtain a valid CPR/AED/First aid certification, be able to lift equipment and spot children and understand all Field Trip Rules. Self-motivation, creativity, and the ability to deliver constructive criticism are also important qualities for this role. You must also establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents and students and be alert to conditions that affect health, safety, sanitation, and good housekeeping practices.
This is a fast-paced role in a dynamic and exciting environment. You will need to be able to walk and stand for many hours and be comfortable in hot and humid field trip locations. You must also have clear speaking and hearing abilities to facilitate effective communication, good vision with close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, and be able to get into the pool when required.
